Opportunities for Alumni
Members > Opportunities for Alumni
While the majority of Alpha Chi's member benefits are tailored to support and enrich the student experience, our alumni members can still enjoy select opportunities to stay engaged within their community of scholars.
- Add Alpha Chi to your resume. Your membership in Alpha Chi could be just the thing that sets you apart from your competitors when applying for a job. Members can connect with Alpha Chi on LinkedIn, or they can request a membership verification letter from the National Office that can be sent to potential employers.
- Enroll in Alpha Chi's mentorship program. Whether you are looking to give back by serving as a mentor or seeking professional guidance yourself, Ambition in Motion is the program for you. Each mentee is matched with an ideal alumni mentor from the Alpha Chi community.
- Apply for a service or development grant. Members seeking financial support for licensing exams, professional development conferences, or career certifications may submit an application to our annual "In Scholarship and in Service" Grant Competition held each fall. Each of Alpha Chi's seven regions will award up to five $200 grants to members from among the chapters in their region.
- Take advantage of our partner offerings. All members have access to special offers from Alpha Chi's official partners, including exclusive discounts through our partnerships with HP and Local Hospitality's travel discount program. If you're going back to school and need to take a licensing exam, our partnership with The Princeton Review offers a wealth of test prep resources for you to take advantage of.
- Get published in Kalo. Alpha Chi's annual community magazine, Kalo, often features the stories and work of our alumni members. Whether it's a creative writing piece, visual art, or general interest essay, we encourage you to submit your work for publication.
- Apply for a graduate fellowship. Heading back to school? You may be eligible for one of Alpha Chi's graduate fellowships. Each spring, the Pryor, Organ, and Freeman Fellowships are awarded to applicants who are enrolled in doctoral, graduate, or professional programs beyond the baccalaureate degree.
- Reconnect with your chapter. Whether you're still in your college town or you've moved across the country, you can still reconnect with your chapter and find ways to stay involved. Contact office@alphachihonor.org if you'd like to reconnect with your chapter as an alumni member.
- Support Alpha Chi as a one-time or recurring donor. Give back to the next generation of students by becoming an official Alpha Chi contributor. Whether it's a small donation or a larger gift, every cent fuels the academic dreams of thousands of new Alpha Chi inductees each year and helps us continue the tradition of supporting academic excellence for scholars across our campus chapters.
