Fully Certified, Nonprofit & Transparent

Alpha Chi is certified by the Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS). Founded in 1925, ACHS is the nation’s only certifying agency for college and university honor societies. ACHS is a visibly cohesive community of national and international honor societies, individually and collaboratively exhibiting excellence in scholarship, service, programs, and governance.

Alpha Chi was recognized for transparency with GuideStar’s 2024 Platinum Seal of Transparency. GuideStar collects and displays in-depth information about 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, including goals, strategies, capabilities, achievements, legitimacy, and finances in order to provide transparency.

As an honor society founded on the tenets of Truth and Character, Alpha Chi is firmly committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility. Alpha Chi stands united with those facilitating change and denouncing exclusion and discrimination of all kinds. The pursuit of truth requires us to actively study and listen to the needs of our diverse communities and to understand, honor, and respect the journey of each and all individuals. Character compels us to forge collaborative partnerships and do the work needed to advance diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice. Alpha Chi commits to empowering chapters and individual members to champion diversity of thought, experience, and approach in all society activities.

Alpha Chi also encourages its chapters to engage in meaningful conversations about diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility and to commit to working to ensure that all members of Alpha Chi and their campus communities feel they belong and are supported regardless of their background, identity, abilities, or affiliations. As a national honor society, Alpha Chi commits to ensuring that all members of the society have broad access to the opportunities and benefits of Alpha Chi membership. Finally, Alpha Chi is dedicated to making scholarship effective for good, and we look forward to working with chapter leaders and members to make a better, increasingly just, diverse, and inclusive society.
