Alpha Chi holds a national convention each Spring where chapters from across the country gather to celebrate student scholarship in an interdisciplinary conference of academic and creative member presentations. It’s held one year in a popular destination city and the next year as a virtual event so that even more students can participate in and experience our conventions.
This three-day event gathers scholars from around the country to share their work—often presenting to a national audience for the first time. With often more than one hundred member presentations, a collaborative research competition, keynote speakers, academic and social networking, a host of awards and prizes, professional development sessions, and opportunities to explore a fabulous city.
The 2025 Alpha Chi National Convention will occur virtually over the span of two weekends: March 29 and April 4 & 5. While our typical convention opportunities and events will take place, plans are in progress for a unique virtual experience you'll want to enjoy!

For in-person conventions, chapters have access to generous grants that can make the cost of attendance—including travel and lodging—more manageable on a college student’s budget. Ask your chapter advisor for more information.
