Built into every Alpha Chi convention is an afternoon for exploring the host city and its local culture in any number of ways! If you’ve never been to New Mexico, we promise you’ll be awed by the breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, the spectacular view of the Sandia mountains, and the unique culture of New Mexico's largest city! Events will begin on Thursday afternoon and continue through Saturday evening. Registration is open through February 20.

Follow the breadcrumbs at the top of this page to discover the opportunities of this year's in-person, professional, national conference. Alpha Chi's generous Travel and Housing Grants will keep your chapter from breaking the bank to have the ultimate Alpha Chi experience!

Alpha Chi strongly encourages this year's convention delegates to:

  • Be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, with at least one additional booster. (For planning purposes, COVID-19 vaccination status will be a question during pre-registration.)
  • Test yourself for COVID-19 with a home-test 24 hours before beginning travel.
  • Make a plan with your chapter advisor about what to do if you test positive. Free tests are available by mail through USPS at https://www.covid.gov/tests.
  • Get the most recent flu vaccination a few weeks before the convention.
  • Wear a mask during flights or crowded vehicles on your way to Albuquerque.
  • Sanitize hands often. (Hand sanitizer stations will be available on site.)
  • Use social distancing whenever possible.
  • Wear a mask to indoor sessions if you have been unable to receive COVID-19 vaccination.
  • Be courteous of your fellow delegates' choices regarding masking.
  • Be prepared to wear a mask if meeting planners become aware of active cases.
  • Report fever or symptoms to a convention staff member so a test can be administered. (We'll have thermometers and tests.)
  • Be proactive, honest, and professional regarding COVID-19, flu, and other easily-transmittable respiratory infections such as RSV.

The Clyde Hotel

Room Rates & Reservations
The AX room rate is $155 (with tax about $176) for 1-4 people per night for a king or double-queen room. To reserve rooms other than Shared Doubles, call The Clyde Hotel at 800-619-5632 and mention you’re with the Alpha Chi conference. Late cancellations/early departures will be handled according to hotel policy. Guestroom wi-fi, the outdoor pool, and the fitness center are complimentary.

Book your room today!

While Alpha Chi’s room rate and block are available through March 6, don’t wait to book your rooms. Alpha Chi doesn’t get unlimited access to a hotel’s entire guestroom inventory, so it’s always a best practice to reserve a block of rooms as soon as you have an idea of what you’ll need. You can call the hotel later to release a room and/or provide specific guest details.
